Hi Adrian, This is part of a bigger question about changes to the bus services locally. TfL consulted on changes to the 259 and other routes in 2025-26 and decided to restructure the routes - https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/routes-259-279-349 They then consulted on changes to the 149, 67 and other local routes - that consultation closed on 20 Sep - https://haveyoursay.tfl.gov.uk/67-149-proposals Many locals and the council’s Streetscene Team submitted consultation responses expressing concerns about reductions in services across these routes. Both the leading Green Party and the Opposition Labour Group submitted consultation responses on this. https://news.hackney.gov.uk/news/hackney-calls-on-tfl-to-rethink-bus-cuts The next steps are to continue to press TfL, including through our local Assembly Member Sem Moema and Transport Cttee Assembly Member Elly Baker to Deputy Mayor Seb Dance. I think a letter from WDCO would be a helpful part of campaigning to turn these decisions around and prevent the further reductions of local bus services. There is plenty of evidence that the most vulnerable and poorest members of our community rely most heavily on bus services. There is also a view that bus services are becoming less reliable and more often stop before the end of the advertised route, causing passengers to change bus and lengthening journey times. Happy to help if you wanted to draft a letter. I spoke with Sem Moema and Elly Baker this week and both are keen to support us in trying to stop cuts to bus services.
