One of the comments from the community forum was that not all the terminology used at WDCO board meetings is readily understood by everybody.It’ll take a little while, but let’s begin to build up a jargon buster.
KSSx – Kick Start Sites
Some of the groups of buildings on the Woodberry down estate are called kick-start sites. They are numbered KSS1 to KSS5. So-called because these were the sites used to get the Regeneration project underway. An analogy dating back to the days when motor bikes didn’t have starter motors.
Taken all together these kickstart sites were in effect phase one of the regeneration project.
