Do you qualify for a Surface Water Drainage Rebate?
A number of residents in the newly built blocks on the estate are either receiving, or have applied for, rebates on their Thames Water bills because the newly built blocks use soakaways for surface water rather than using Thames Water sewers.
Take a look at this page on the Thames Water website which explains Surface Water Drainage
As far as we know all the newly built blocks on the estate qualify for this rebate. This is currently being checked.

How do I know if i’m being charged for surface water drainage?
We charge most customers for this as part of our wastewater services. Your bill will show if we’ve included a surface water drainage rebate when calculating your total charges.
Apply for a rebate
Fill in the Thames Water form to apply for a rebate. This is the link to the form
What else is WDCO doing
We will write to Thames Water pointing out the possibly widespread right to this rebate. We will suggest that it be applied in all relevant cases with no further need for resident application.
We are checking which buildings do and do not have soakaways.
